Ever since the first time I consciously laid eyes on an E30 when I was in middle school I knew I loved the car. It would have been the mid to late 90's and although I didn't know it then I now know the car I saw was a Schwarz Black 1989 325iS dropping off a class mate. I purchased my first E30 in 2001 and the life long love affair flourished from there. It was a Delphin Gray 1987 325iS is sorry shape but it was what I could afford. Over the course of 6 years it was rehabilitated into what has become a iconic example of the breed known to many around the world till this day.
With limited time, money and know how my work with these cars began relatively small in scale and limited in scope. In 2001 the E30 forum R3VLimited was founded to share my love of the chassis with all and as time has gone on I've learned much, built many an E30 and continue to dabble with them as a fulfilling hobby.
Today my tastes in these cars has gone the whole gamut and arrived back where its sweetest, as BMW originally engineered them to be. While I love modifying cars to suit my taste something has to be said for the analog brick that we all adore, simply as manufactured, with its uncanny ability to bring many generations of owners together in a common interest.
